Today we’ll be teaching you how to wind a bobbin on a sewing machine. This will not be correct for all machines, but it is how you do it in about 90% of the sewing machines out there.

Step 1 ) First make sure that your sewing machine is plugged into the outlet and turned on.

Step 2 ) While holding your hand wheel (object A) firmly with your left hand, take your right hand and grab the inner dial (object B) turning it counter clockwise.

Step 3 ) Take the thread you are wanting to put through the bobbin and wrap it around (object C) twice to hold the thread tight on the bobbin.

Step 4 ) Put the thread from the inside of the bobbin out through any of the holes on the sides of the bobbin.

Step 5 ) Place bobbin over object D.

Step 6 ) Move object D toward your hand wheel.

Step 7 ) While holding the end of the thread, press the foot control down until you get about 10 rounds of thread on the bobbin, then cut excess thread off the bobbin.

Step 8 ) Continue filling bobbin until the desired amount of thread is wound on the bobbin.

Step 9 ) Object E is there to prevent overfilling your bobbin. You can adjust by hand turning the fat side where desired.
